R.I.P. to my ex-principal : Miss Krempl. BTSS students will forever remember you and will always be considered privileged to have you as our Principal.

Well, I left the house at 12.30pm to meet up with Gayatri and Hari, who were 1h late, in Tampines MRT to go to my ex-principal's wake. I have to admit that we got lost a couple of times. When we arrived at Saint Joseph's church ( Victoria Street ) and finally got to see Miss Priscilla Krempl, we were afraid but glad to see her. She was laying in her coffin so peacefully. It was as if she never suffered at all and was just enjoying a blissful eternal rest. I asked my friend's to join me as I said a few words to her and then I sent my own prayer up for our lord to hear. My friend's and I then decided to eavesdrop on the conversations on how she died, because we were afraid to ask them ourselves. We found out that she died of a heart attack. BUT she was also suffering from a stage 4 cancer. In many ways, I was "happy" that she died because of the stroke. Just so she wouldn't have to suffer the pain of the cancer which would be very very torturous. In my opinion, God has indeed spared her from suffering.

Miss Krempl was one of my FAVOURITE Principals of all time. She knew how to grasp our attention and keep information drilled into our minds. And i super super love her slogan that she would constantly say every morning during assembly

Miss Krempl : Remember students, whatever you do, you must do it                      RIGHT and whatever you do, you must do it.....
Students: EXCELLENTLY! * cheer *

That is one of the things that I will never forget. I also recalled when the choir received a C.O.P. ( Certificate Of Participation). It was a really huge disappointment for me because I was so used to getting a GOLD for SYF ( Singapore Youth Festival ). NOT many people were crying because of getting this award, however once Miss Krempl came in and talked to us about how it was okay to lose. She told us her story about being the coach for a rugby team and how she loses some competitions. But she advised us NEVER to lose hope. Because ONE DAY, it will be OUR time to shine. I will never forget her motivational words.

In all, I found Miss Priscilla Krempl as a very diligent, motivational, respectful, fun, humorous, loving and, an understanding person. As I've written in the guest book during her wake. " I am so privileged to have such an AMAZING person as my Principal, even though it was only for a few years. I'm honoured to have been blessed with your presence. BTSS will miss you dearly. "
Rest In Peace with the Lord our God.
Amen.

MRS Priscilla Krempl, a lady with many firsts to her name, died yesterday morning, aged 66.

The first woman to be teacher-in-charge of a Schools' National title winning team when she took charge at Saint Andrew's Secondary School in the 1970s, went on to become the Republic's first qualified woman coach.

She coached the school's rugby teams herself in the 1980s, and it was not long after, that she went on the become the first woman principal of the Anglican all-boys school in 1994.

Over the weekend she suffered a stroke which is believed to have led to her passing on.
